The Receiver of Taxes in the Town of Onondaga collects taxes for all six school districts located within the Town of Onondaga as well as the County & Town taxes.
Any "new property owners" in the Town of Onondaga should notify the Tax office as soon as possible. It takes time for changes in ownership to be reported to the Tax office and the bill may be sent to the previous owner. Please call and advise the Tax office where you would like your bill to be sent, as it is the homeowner's responsibility to check on the taxes.
School tax bills are sent out after Labor Day in September and County & Town tax bills after Christmas. If you don't receive a bill and should, please contact my office immediately so that I may send you a duplicate bill.
Partial payments may be made on the School tax bills as well as the County & Town tax bills. The first partial payment must be made on or before the due date, prior to the penalty periods. The partial payment can be of any amount for County & Town bills and all School districts located in the Town of Onondaga except for the Jamesville-Dewitt School district which still request the partial payment amount to be at least 50% of the amount due. There may be no delinquent taxes due on these bills in order to make partial payments.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact my office at 469-0483. I am here Monday thru Friday from 8:30AM to 4:30PM.
